TFcon is pleased to announce the return of artist Dan Khanna to the 2012 guest list. He will be selling prints and offering commissions to attendees all weekend long.

We are pleased to announce that author Jim Sorenson will join us at TFcon 2012. Co-producer of the upcoming Legacy: The Box Art of The Transformers from IDW, he also worked on Transformers: The Ark and The AllSpark Almanac. At TFcon he will be hosting the Transformers Legacy panel and Q&A.

TFcon’s expansion to a 2 day convention was originally made possible through merging with the Canadian 80s Toy Expo on the Sunday of the event. This was necessary due to many dealers completely selling out of merchandise on the Saturday requiring a dealer room restock if a 2nd day was to be added. This year is no different with the Sunday bringing us one of Canada’s largest dealer rooms for 80s toy related merchandise consisting of dealers selling Super Heroes (Marvel, DC etc), Star Wars (new and vintage), Transformers (vintage and Japanese imports), G.I. Joe (vintage and modern), Masters of the Universe (vintage and classics), Wrestling, and tons of other Action Figures and collectibles.

Our final round of guest announcements has begun.  We are thrilled to have IDW publishing colorist Josh Perez finally join us at TFcon 2012.  He will be setup all weekend and offering prints and commissions to attendees all weekend long.

Due to the success of last years event, TFcon will host the 2nd Annual 3rd Party Product Panel at TFcon 2012.  We have invited 3rd party product manufacturers to contribute to a panel focusing on new images of upcoming collector focused toys.  We encourage all 3rd party companies to contact us to be involved in this presentation that will have information shared to fans around the world.

Due to the sale of 3rd party figures at TFcon the Hasbro New Product Preview and Q/A has been pulled from our programming.  Hasbro Canada is still scheduled to attend TFcon 2012 and will have a product display and interact with the fans.  We at TFcon apologize for any inconvenience and thank Hasbro Canada for all their help over the years.  You can find below the official statement from Hasbro’s Corporate Communications team:

“Although it was communicated by TFcon that Hasbro would host a panel at TFcon this year, Hasbro will unfortunately not be able to participate in a panel.  However, we continue to look forward to meeting fans on the convention floor on Saturday.”

TFcon is very pleased to be able to welcome back Derrick J. Wyatt to TFcon this year. The Art Director/Lead Character Designer for Transformers Animated, Derrick will be taking part in a Q&A panel and autograph sessions.

The TFcon 2012 dealer room has sold out all available tables with just under a month until the convention.  This is a new record for Canada’s largest dealer room for Transformers merchandise.  The room will be packed with exhibitors selling Transformers toys from all eras including but not limited to Generation 1, Generation 2, Machine Wars, Beast Wars, Beast Machines, Robots in Disguise, Armada, Energon, Cybertron, Universe, Classics, Animated, Crossovers, Commemorative and Encore Reissues, Alternators and Binaltech, Masterpiece, Titanium, Alternity, Generations, Transformers Prime, plus Movie toys from all 3 films; Transformers, Revenge of the Fallen and Dark of the Moon and all 3rd party companies.

TFcon is pleased to announce the addition of Andrew Griffith to the 2012 guest list.  Andrew is the artist on IDW’s current Transformers: Robots in Disguise comic book and is one of the fans who was discovered through IDW’s comic cover contest. He will be selling prints and offering commissions to attendees all weekend long.

TFcon is pleased to welcome back Matt Moylan to the convention this year. He is best known to Transformers fans as the man behind LilFormers. You can meet him in the TFcon 2012 artist alley all weekend long.

TFcon is pleased to announce the addition of a Transformers Fan-Made Media Panel this year to our programming.  Hosted by Chris Ho (Vangelus) and Ben Dolle (Peaugh) they will discuss media-making within the Transformers fandom, and how you can do it too!

TFcon is pleased to announce the return of Alex Milne to the TFcon guest list.  Alex is the artist on IDW’s current Transformers: More than Meets the Eye comic book, and has also worked on Megatron Origins, the Transformers (2007) Official Movie Adaptation, Spotlight: Arcee, The Reign of Starscream, Transformers: Alliance, Transformers: Drift, various issues of The Transformers and many more.

We are very pleased to welcome Transformers voice actor Neil Ross to TFcon 2012 for his first ever Canadian convention appearance.

The voice of several characters in the Transformers Generation 1 series including Bonecrusher, Crosshairs, Hook, Pointblank, Sixshot, Slag and Springer; Mr. Ross will be taking part in Q&A panel and autograph sessions with the attendees of the Canadian Transformers Collectors Convention.

We are pleased to share with you the first image of the TFcon 2012 exclusive SHAFTER figure in package featuring box art by Silas Zee.  Limited to only 500 pieces it is produced by iGear Toys.
